Materials you’ll need for a Jinx Arcane cosplay costume
You can purchase the red colored materials directly on amazon
-Toy gun
-Trousers or Leggings that you can dye
-Black / Dark brown turtleneck shirt ( turtleneck crop top )
–White, and light purple acrylic paint
-Military Boots (new or used)

Phase 1 – Making your own Jinx Arcane Costume Trousers or Leggings
Start by putting masking tape on your trousers in order to form even vertical stripes. Once the entire pants are covered, blend your pale purple fabric paint with the fabric medium according to the directions given on the fabric medium bottle. Use a big paintbrush to paint in the stripes not protected by the masking tape. For best results, make sure to put something between the two legs of the trousers while painting so that the color does not seep through. I chose to use a roll of wrapping paper to keep the front and back of the pant legs apart while I was painting.

Once your trousers are dry, take away the masking tape and trace the pale lilac stripes using your white paint (combined with fabric medium). Allow them to dry once more, then slice the extra length of the trousers to create a Capri length. I unevenly cut mine to give the effect of a torn look. Don’t forget to cut one side shorter than the other as well. To complete the hems of your trousers that are now cut, think about using a bit of fabric adhesive to hold the edges of the cut seams in place.

Utilize the longer length of fabric you trimmed from your leggings to make an armband. To do this, pass your arm through the cut portion of the pant leg (in a reversed manner), and draw a line on either side of your arm with your disappearing ink pen. Add a few extra centimeters on either side of the line to make sure the band isn’t too tight, and then sew the lines together. Cut away any excess material so that the arm band is of the right size. Take the “cuff” of the other pant leg and attach it to the top of the arm band by cutting it off and sewing it. If it is too wide, you can adjust its width in the same way you adjusted the size of the arm band.

Phase 4 – Making your own Jinx Arcane Costume Shirt
Before starting cutting and sewing , you must draw and cut a shirt pattern on wax paper that you like , that fits your body .
Place your black turtleneck flat on a the sheet of wax paper and trace it with a long-lasting marker. Split the wax paper into two equal parts along the line of the tracing. Determine the length you want your Jinx blouse to be and draw a line where the bottom part should end. Starting from the armpit of the shirt tracing, draw a curved line towards the collar of the turtleneck which reaches the halfway point of the folding in the middle.
Cut along the pattern while it is folded over. Unfold and you should have a symmetrical pattern. Place this pattern on top of the black turtleneck and cut the fabric according to it. Hem the arm holes and the bottom edge of the crop top.
Phase 5 – Making your own Jinx Arcane Costume Shirt
Cut two pieces of muslin material that are 2 ½ inches wide and long. Join the edges together and turn it inside out to make a couple of “tubes”. Press them with an iron. Position them in an “X” shape on the black crop top. Pass four big eyelets through the edges of each one so you know where you want to place them. Use embroidery thread to stitch the muslin strips to the eyelets. Tuck the extra muslin fabric so it’s not visible from a “right side up” view and stick it with fabric glue. Secure the “X” to the front part of the shirt with the embroidery thread around every eyelet.
Phase 6 – Making your own Jinx Arcane Costume Shirt
Take a sheet of thick foam and draw one of your eyelets on it four times. Cut each circle out, then make a cut through each one and remove the middle. You should now have four C-shaped caps for your eyelets. Spray them with Plasti-Dip and then gold spray paint. Place the caps on top of your eyelets and make sure the slit of the ‘C’ is facing the muslin strips and can’t be seen from the top. Secure the caps to the eyelets using your hot glue.
Phase 7 – Making your own Jinx Arcane Costume
To construct the leather straps that are attached to either end of Jinx’s belt, take a measurement from the front to the back of your hips, ensuring that it has additional slack so the loops can reach down to your thighs. Cut two strips of faux leather, both about two inches thick, and fold the edges over, wrong sides together, then sew them in place. Put the raw edges in the center of the double-folded bias tape and sew it down.
Follow the same method for making the two arm straps, using the width of your upper arm as the size of both strips, plus a few extra inches. Secure one end of the completed strip to the middle of the buckle/slider and sew it shut. Pass the other end of the strap through the buckle and adjust it when putting it on or taking it off.
Lastly, create a belt for the bottom of the crop top using this same method, taking the width of your lower chest plus a few extra inches as the size. Make a foam buckle, similar in shape to the metal buckle/sliders used for the arm straps, and attach belt loops to the lower end of the crop top with the black bias tape.
Finding the Accessories
Jinx Arcane has alot of accessories that some can be easy to find and other harder.
-The Jinx gun can be found easy in many dollar stores. Some foam and paint will do the trick.
-For the gloves some black fingerless gloves will be perfect.
-About shoes , you can use some old military shoes that you don’t use . Use some foam to create the decoration and color ( do not paint directly to the shoes to not ruin them ) or just buy some new shoes ( why not ). ( Check on amazon )
Finishing Touch
The last touch is the makeup. Nothing to say about that just don’t worry to be perfect . Cover a big part of your upper body with blue clouds ( see reference pictures ) and happy cosplaying.
